How instant quotes work

Most companies make new customers wait days for a quote. With OpenGate, they get a real, measured price in about 30 seconds — even at midnight.

What the customer sees

  1. They type their addressOn your quote page or your website widget.
  2. Satellites measure the propertyOpenGate finds the home from above and measures the lawn automatically.
  3. They answer a few short questionsThings like which services they want. You choose the questions.
  4. They see their priceReal prices from your own price list — plans, one-time services, and add-ons.
  5. They book or payDepending on your setup: request the service, pick a plan, or check out by card.

How measurement works

OpenGate looks up the property from the address and measures the lawn using satellite and aerial imagery, helped by AI. For most homes this takes a few seconds.

If imagery can't give a confident answer, the customer simply picks their lawn size from easy visual choices (small, medium, large) instead. Either way, they always get a price.

Good to know: measurements are estimates for quoting. You can always review a property and adjust the size before you do the work.

Three ways to quote

WayWho uses it
Your quote pageCustomers, from the link you share anywhere.
Your website widgetVisitors on your own site (paid plans).
Quick Quote in the appYou, on the phone with a customer. Type their address and read them the price.

What happens after a quote

Every quote works for you, even if the customer doesn't buy right away:

  • A contact is created with their name, address, and lawn size.
  • The quote shows up in your Requests inbox.
  • The customer gets their quote by email with a link to come back to it.
  • Automations follow up over the next days — automatically.

Where the prices come from

Instant quotes use your Catalog: your services, your prices, your rules. Flat prices, price per square foot, or size-bucket pricing — the engine handles it and always shows the customer the right number.
