Contacts

Contacts is your customer list. OpenGate builds it for you — every quote, booking, and chat becomes a record automatically.

Contacts create themselves

You never have to type in a lead. A contact is created (or updated) whenever someone:

You can also add contacts by hand — handy for referrals and phone leads.

What's on a contact

  • Basics: name, phone, email, and service address
  • History: their quotes, jobs, and invoices in one place
  • Tags: label people however you like — "VIP", "north route", "2026 prepay"
  • Notes: gate codes, dog names, "call after 5pm"
  • Marketing status: whether they can receive marketing email

Where contacts show up

Contacts connect everything. The same record follows the customer from their first quote in Requests, through the Jobs board, onto the calendar, and into invoices.

Tip: use tags for routes and neighborhoods. Filtering "north route" contacts makes scheduling a tight day easy.
